Anna Qiao

Anna (Xiqin) Qiao started practicing Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in 1991. she has a PhD in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Acupuncture from The University of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Heilongjiang Province, China.

Anna was a professor at a University of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) in China, and an instructor at Oshio College of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine in Victoria, BC.

She is a registered Acupuncturist and a Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) Herbalist. Between Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) Anna Qiao has helped over 10,000 patients since 1991.

My approach is compassionate, authentic caring and tailored to suit the individual. I draw from several therapeutic techniques based on your needs, then build a therapeutic alliance.

I have a thirst for knowledge and a deeper understanding of therapeutic issues that might arise for clients, and I will not shy away from people with difficult diagnoses or issues. I work with clients looking to improve their mental health issues to learn coping skills when faced with major stressors, life changes and transitions.

I use a blend of approaches including Emotion Focused Couples Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Coaching (CBT), Attachment Theory, Solution Focused Therapy, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)(aka Tapping). Therapy can range from very short to long-term depending on client’s needs.
