Summer Sports in Pitt Meadows: Prevent Injuries with Registered Massage Therapy
Stay in the Game with Professional Support
Baseballs on a field like Pitt Meadows Athletic Park.
Anyone travel down Airport Way or Bonson Road on weekends in the summertime? I love seeing the line of cars on either side of the road the closer we get to the baseball diamonds at Pitt Meadows Athletic Park.
It’s a keen reminder that Pitt Meadows is a community based on activity and companionship.
A place as much for cheering on the local softball teams as it is a series of riverside walking trails by Osprey Village, or disc golf at Bonson Park.
Make sure whatever summertime activity you enjoy, to stay hydrated and wear sunblock or UV protective clothing.
Pitt Meadows is a hub for summer sports, from soccer to softball and everything in between.
Whether you’re a weekend warrior or a competitive athlete, registered massage therapy can help you stay injury-free and perform at your best.

Bonson Park
Want to try something new to Pitt Meadows this summer? Head on down Bonson Road to the Bonson Park Disc Golf Course (print off your score card at this link). New to Bonson Park, there’s 7 holes and plenty of shade in this newly renovated former rock quarry.
Bonson Park’s a place we locals love to walk, so please disc golfers, don’t bean us with your generic flying discs! We promise we’ll clap when you get a hole-in-one.
Have little ones who’d rather climb the playground than throw a flying disc? There’s a lovely playground in the shade right there.
When you’re done at Bonson Park, handle post-game soreness with a Registered Massage Therapy visit right here, at Peak Wellness Centre.
Pitt Meadows Athletic Park
Baseball and Softball fans can watch or play a game at one of the many baseball diamonds at Pitt Meadows Athletic Park.
Baseball not your thing? There’s 2 tennis and 6 pickleball courts at the Athletic Park off Bonson Road, with info at the link above.
Catch some free throws at the attached outdoor basketball / floor hockey court, or head over to the playground with your kiddos.
Pitt Meadows Athletic Park has activity options for the entire family, even if you’re just there to hit the Pokemon Go gym by the entrance signs (something I do a lot).
Oh, and if you want to take a good long walk, there are walking trails here too, one I call the stairmaster has a long staircase cut up the hill behind the rink to take you around the high school.
Might… might need a massage after that… we have RMT’s ready and willing to help with post-workout soreness.
Harris Road Park
Stay cool in the spray park and outdoor pool of Harris Road Park. Up by Harris and Lougheed, Harris Road Park has it all.
Water, baseball diamonds, a picnic area, playground… if you’re looking for a place to chill out and have fun with your friends, family and community, this is a great one.
It’s also right behind some fantastic restaurants, cafes and shops for those times when you’re a bit tired, need some nigiri at Kabuki Sushi or an iced coffee at the Coffee Pitt, among the other fantastic local eateries nearby.
Remember to hydrate, and handle that continual back-stroke with some registered massage therapy to keep your form fresh.
Pitt Meadows Dog Parks
Don’t forget your furry friends for summertime exercise! Do bring lots of water.
Have a pup to exercise? Pitt Meadows is a fantastic place for dog parks too! Our personal favourite here at Peak Wellness Centre is a short walk up Ford Road: Hoffman Park.
No shade on North Bonson Dog Park, but Hoffman’s dog park has the summertime bonus of being surrounded by old growth trees. It’s a shady spot in the middle of Pitt Meadows, beside some fun and handy workout equipment and a lovely walking trail.
And I can see it from the back door of the clinic.
Pitt Meadows BMX Track
Did you know Pitt Meadows has a dedicated BMX Track on Barnes Road? A bit of a drive off the beaten road, the BMX Track is a dry-weather outdoor facility tended to by loyal volunteers.
If you make use of the BMX Track, please remember to wear your protective gear, bike at your own risk and keep off the track in rainy weather.
More info on the BMX Track is here.
